Prescription Queries
If you have been prescribed some medication and need to ask some questions please contact the dispensing pharmacy who will be able to help with any concerns.
If you are asked to contact your GP please complete our online triage form as an an admin query Contact us about your request (accurx.com).
If you feel your prescription query needs urgent attention please contact the reception team on 01772 585451 who will be able to assist further.
There are 3 ways to order a repeat prescription from the surgery.
1. Using your NHS account
You can order a repeat prescription by logging into your account using the NHS app or NHS website.
If you're asked to nominate a pharmacy, you can only nominate a high street pharmacy.
You'll be able to collect your medicine in person when it's ready. Some high street pharmacies also deliver.
2. Using other online services or Apps
There are other online services you can use to order a repeat prescription.
Examples include My GP App and Patient Access.
Contact the online service or app you want to use for details on how to register. You may need a verification key code from reception.
3. By contacting your GP Surgery
You can submit an admin request via our online triage form Contact us about your request (accurx.com)
Please call the practice after 10am if you are unable to use any other option - our reception team will then assist you further.
The easiest & quickest way to order repeat prescriptions is via online services App.

Electronic Prescribing Service
This practice is set up for the electronic prescription service.
This means that for most patients we can send your prescription to your chosen chemist directly saving you having to come down to the surgery.
To get your prescription sent to your chosen pharmacy you will have to ask reception to sign up.

Help with NHS costs
In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:
- those on specific benefits or through the NHS Low Income Scheme
- those who are age exempt
- those with certain medical conditions

Non-urgent advice: Prescription Charges
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
- Prescription (per item): £9.65
- 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £111.60
- 3-month PPC: £31.25
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
